Get Your Skin Wedding-Ready:
Planning a wedding comes with countless decisions - and if you’re the bride, groom or part of the wedding party, it’s completely natural to want to look and feel your best on the day.
One of the most common questions we’re asked in clinic is:
“When should I start aesthetic treatments before my wedding?”
The truth is that the most beautiful, natural results rarely come from last-minute treatments. Instead, they come from a carefully planned timeline that prioritises skin health, subtle enhancement and patient safety.
Below, we share the approach we often recommend at Oriah Clinics when preparing patients for a wedding or special event.

Around 3 Months Before the Wedding
Focus on skin quality and glow
If your goal is radiant, healthy skin for your wedding day, we ideally recommend allowing around three months to prepare your skin.
This gives enough time to complete a series of treatments that work gradually to improve skin quality, hydration and collagen production.
During this period, we often recommend treatments such as:
• Skin boosters to deeply hydrate and improve skin texture
• Radiofrequency microneedling to stimulate collagen and refine the skin
• Personalised medical-grade skincare
These treatments are usually spaced several weeks apart, allowing the skin to regenerate and respond between sessions.
Over the course of three months, this approach can create the kind of smooth, luminous “glass skin” effect that so many patients hope for ahead of their wedding day.
6–8 Weeks Before the Wedding
Considering dermal fillers
For patients who may benefit from dermal filler treatments, we typically recommend scheduling these around 6–8 weeks before the wedding.
This timeframe is important for several reasons.
Firstly, it allows time for any swelling or bruising to fully settle, ensuring the final result looks soft and natural.
Secondly, it allows the filler to integrate with the surrounding tissue, giving a refined and balanced result.
Finally, and importantly from a safety perspective, this timeframe allows us the opportunity to review the results and make any small refinements if needed.
Although complications with dermal filler are rare, responsible medical practice always means planning ahead. In the unlikely event that a complication did occur, this timeframe also allows us the ability to make any necessary adjustments safely well before the wedding day.
Our approach is always conservative, focusing on subtle enhancement rather than noticeable change, so you still look completely like yourself - just refreshed and confident.
3–4 Weeks Before the Wedding
Maintain healthy, calm skin
As the wedding approaches, the goal is no longer transformation, it’s maintaining the beautiful skin you’ve built over the previous months.
At this stage, we may recommend gentle maintenance treatments such as:
• Hydrating facials
• Light skin rejuvenation treatments
• Adjustments to your skincare routine if needed
The priority is keeping the skin calm, balanced and glowing, without introducing anything too new or unpredictable.
The Final Weeks
Keep things simple
In the final weeks before the wedding, we usually recommend avoiding new or unfamiliar treatments.
Instead, focus on:
• Maintaining your skincare routine
• Staying well hydrated
• Getting plenty of rest
By this stage, the work has already been done, and your skin should be looking healthy, refreshed and ready for the big day.
Why Planning Ahead Matters
The best aesthetic results are never about rushing treatments just before an event.
By allowing enough time, we can:
• Create results that appear natural and balanced
• Ensure treatments work together safely
• Allow time for healing and skin regeneration
• Review and refine results if needed
This approach not only improves outcomes but also ensures that treatments are carried out responsibly and safely - which is always a priority!
